Recently the FDA has received a large amount of reports stating that surgeons performing revision surgeries on individuals with the Zimmer Hip.. The reports indicate that while doing the Durom Cup Hip Replacement revision surgery that the acetabular component had either loosened from the original position or had migrated.

It is very likely that if the Zimmer Durom replacement hip fails that patients will be required to undergo a hip revision surgery. One of the key indicators that a hip implant is faulty is Zimmer Hip Pain, caused from broken hip implants, defective hip implants or a faulty hip implant. Individuals who have received a Zimmer Durom Cup Hip Implant are have some concerns are encouraged to contact either their orthopedic surgeon or the hospital that was responsible for performing the surgery. The main purpose in doing so is determine if the Zimmer Hip Cup was used in your specific hip replacement surgery and if so, to aid in determining if the specific hip replacement may be in a failure state.

Recently a report by a world-renowned orthopedic surgeon has been released, individuals that have undergone a Zimmer Durom Cup Hip Implant have had to undergo a second surgery, to revise the original hip replacement surgery due to the hip implant device not seating properly and sometimes even migrating.

There has been ongoing investigations by lawyers into the Durom implant and consequently seeking Zimmer hip class action settlements for patients from Zimmer that have been implanted with a defective Zimmer Durom Cup Hip Implant.

The Zimmer Durom Cup Hip Replacement has been reported by surgeons to come loose and the Zimmer Durom Cup was taken off the market as of July 24, 2008. The Zimmer hip recall was pushed after defects of the Zimmer Durom Cup Hip Replacement were brought to light to the medical profession on April 22, 2008, by Dr. Larry Dorr. Plenty of Dr. Dorr’s patients who were implanted with the Zimmer Hip required hip revision surgery thanks to the Zimmer Durom Cup failing to bond properly.

Dr. Dorr wrote the following letter to his associates at the Yank organisation of Hip and Knee Surgeons caution of the screw ups and defects related to Zimmer’s Durom hip cup after notifying Zimmer of the issues with the Zimmer Hip.
